NTID Reunion Branding

National Technical Institute for the Deaf, NTID, a college of Rochester Institute of Technology, RIT, held a logo contest for the alumni community to create a branding image for their 2018 reunion. NTID's main goal was to engage a large community of alumni, families, and donors in the creation and voting of a logo for their 50th Anniversary Reunion. I was personally requested to participate in the contest and my design ended up being voted as the winning logo.

NTID inquired that logo design reflects the diversity that NTID values and for the designers to consider the reunion theme: “Reconnect. Reunite. Reflect.” While keeping the past and present of NTID in mind, I came up with abstract drawings of both their old and brand new sculptures seen on NTID's side of the RIT campus. The building with horizontal windows is distinguished as the well known dormitory for NTID's first year Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The NTID community of alumni, faculty, staff, families, and donors could instantly recognize the campus reflected in the 50th Anniversary Reunion logo.
